When attempting to decide on what to wear I knew for the outfit I wanted to go with something chic and classy but with some color to it. I also wanted the style to be something mature but still youthful. Height wise I'm only 5 ft, so its very easy to quickly fall into that looking like I'm in high school again or younger category. Since I currently did not own anything that fit this description I had to go dress hunting. You all know that I am a bargain hunter, so I set a limit for myself on the dress of about $30. I went to several different places and tried on countless dresses in various styles. Places like H&M, Charlotte Russe, Sidecca, Forever 21, Papaya, JC Penny's, Macy's.....the list goes on. I just couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. Then I decided to go to Ross. I remembered that years ago I had been able to find some really nice inexpensive dresses there. I had immediately found several that I liked and this is the gorgeous blue dress I ended up purchasing!
-I really like the V neckline the dress has. I feel it creates a really nice flattering shape to the upper half of the dress while still keeping it fun and youthful with the ruffle detail.
-I also really enjoy how the dress is gathered towards the center and then just casually drapes down below the chest area. I thing this is a really flattering cut that would be great for a variety of body shapes. It gives you that nice feminine shape on the upper half while at the same time being loose on the bottom half so it doesn't cling to tightly anywhere to accentuate my not so flat stomach.
For the shoes I decided to just go with something I had. Since the wedding was supposed to be vintage style I choose to wear these. These I purchased a while back at Payless for around $20. All the little cutouts and details on them reminded me of something vintage.

I ended up applying a bright orange/coral type of color on my lips and also painting my toes that color.
Makeup Used:
Face: Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse set with E.l.f. Complexion Perfection. I then used Nyc Mosaic Face Powder in All Over Bronze Glow to contour and warmup my face.
Eyes: I first started off with the Maybelline color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and applied it to my crease and all over my lid. I then used the Wetnwild color icon single in Brulee(Matte Cream) under my brow, the matte medium brown from the Wetnwild Vanity palette just above the crease, the shimmery bronze color from Wnw Vanity (in the crease, on the lid and lower lashline). I applied the dark matte brown from the Wnw Vanity on the out third of the crease and the Wnw Color Icon single in Panther(Matte Black) on the outer forth of the crease. I used the e.l.f. shimmer eyeliner pencil in Ivory on the inner corner, the E.l.f. cream liner in brown on the lower lashline and the black on the upper lashliner. Lastly I applied the e.l.f. volume plumping mascara to my lower lashes and the Eyelure Katy Perry Lashes in Cool Kitty.
Lips: Revlon's Kiss Me Coral
I also used these earrings I have because I thought they went well with the whole vintage theme as well.
And here is the look with the eyes closed. For my hair I just decided to do me regular hairstyle and straighten it :)
